inside vitis vinothek finsterwirt
the finsterwirt restaurant and the vitis wine shop are located between ancient walls protected by fine arts. the project consists of the reorganization of the internal spaces and the creation of a new entrance area. a black steel compass represents the distribution point between the restaurant on the first floor, the wine shop and the garden on the ground floor. thanks to the interventions and materials chosen, the ancient essence is put in the foreground. elements of wood, concrete and steel seem to float in the space. intimate and protected spaces like stube are created in the niches. a game between old and new, a continuation of history with new accents in line with the times. an opening towards the alley, where visual axes bring the city within the ancient walls.
