coherence pacherhof old cellar
the existing cellar rooms of the old pacherhof farm are restored and become part of a project on wine: working with it, enjoying it, and selling it. on top of the old stone stair a new “steel carpet” is placed, starting in the courtyard and arriving to the depths of the cellar. it seemingly floats above, like the rest of the architecture does; it only touches it every now and then. the central part of the cellar is the room with the old wine barrels that leads to the tunnel ramp and tasting room. the characteristic element in this room is the eleven-meter-long piece of furniture that serves as a bar and degustation area. the rooms were restored to last and are linked through their materials: brushed steel and natural oak.
