landscape frame lois
lois is a small structure that plays ironically with the territory of south tyrol. immersed in the landscape, it frames the panorama as a kind of urban furniture for the alpine realm, couched as a contemporary reinterpretation of the south tyrolean stube or dining nook, a classic design that combines seating and a table. each 2 x 2 metre module is handcrafted from swiss pine. the lateral portions are in natural wood, while the main sections, looking almost as if they have been sliced open, sport a metal coating in natural or coloured hues.
