a place without a place – defined by the highway, train tracks, state road, and river. a situation of confinement that calls for a clear architectural stance. the building responds with presence: it positions itself parallel to the road, asserts itself with a sharp, sloping edge, and deliberately directs the view inside toward the slope and the forest.

the division of the building into two parts plays ironically with the narrowness of the location. an oversized gutter system sculpturally directs rainwater into the basin – a technical detail that also makes a strong statement.

the color scheme references the surroundings: signal yellow as an echo of traffic and movement, complemented by red elements that build a bridge to the history of the nearby hotel.

Inside, a warm, secure atmosphere is created. A shell made of OSB, painted in shades of green, blue, and gray, forms a space that protects and invigorates at the same time.

The building thus becomes a powerful protective shell for its employees – steadfast on the outside, soothing on the inside.
