bergmeisterwolf is born from the encounter between gerd bergmeister and michaela wolf. the studio, based in brixen (it) and rosenheim (de) searches answers to formal and spatial requirements through an intense dialog with clients and university research. the works of bergmeisterwolf have been awarded with numerous prizes, such as the italian architect of the year 2019, thanks to an approach to architecture which “responds to context with attention to materials and bold formal solutions”. other awards include best architects (2020, 2018, 2016) with a golden award (2020), italian architect prize in the renovation and recovery category (2018), fare paesaggio (2016), dedalo minosse (2019, 2011), two città di oderzo architecture prizes (2013, 2014,2020), eu mies award 22 – nomination, and from 2012 onwards the häuser des jahres award which recognizes the 50 best single-family houses. bergmeisterwolf has given many lectures, has been member of several national and international juries and has participated to many exhibitions included architettura alto adige (2020), the biennale di pisa (2019) and the 13th biennale di venezia (2012) and the solo exhibition -displacement- at galeria prisma in bozen (2018) . the work of the studio has been published in numerous magazines in italy and abroad.
